It’s always the dog days of summer here on the Emerald Coast! Do you have a furry companion you can’t leave home without? Do you relate to a docile basset hound? After working up an appetite running laps at one of the local dog parks, it’s time to dig in. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Can you bring Fido along? The answer is yes, yes and yes! Countless restaurants throughout the Emerald Coast allow dogs to dine with you. Enjoy your brunch al fresco with your fur baby by your side. Grab a casual seaside lunch with friends and your four legged pals. And finish off the day with “yappy hour” cocktails and dinner accompanied by wagging tails while watching the sun setting over the gorgeous crystal clear water.

Many stores throughout the area are pet friendly, even offering fresh water and treats when you arrive! A lot of local shop owners bring their furry friends to work each day with them. Be sure to check out the adorable pet boutiques when you are out as you bark and shop your way down the coast. The people of Pensacola are passionate about their pets. Their love is shown throughout the town by the many animal centered charities. There are so many ways to give back to the animals you love. You can volunteer at one of the local animal shelters or sanctuaries or donate to their causes. You can attend charity events hosted by the local animal non-profits or you can selflessly foster pets in need. Animals bring so much joy into our hearts; lets give back to the little ones who brighten our lives.
