Rally Gulf Coast rolled out the red carpet for its eighth annual Rally on the Runway, an evening of philanthropy supporting childhood cancer research, held March 26 at the Brownsville Community Center in Pensacola.

The event brought together community members, local leaders, and supporters for a night focused on fundraising and connection. Sponsored by Sandy Sansing Dealerships, the Bear Family Foundation, and Lucy Trawick, the celebration featured cocktails, a gourmet-style dinner, silent and live auctions, and a runway show.

The show highlighted Rally Kid models escorted by local figures, including Miss University of South Alabama Sydnee Cantley, a two-time childhood cancer survivor; WEAR-TV meteorologist Allen Strum; Pensacola Ice Flyers owner Greg Harris; and Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons.

Auction offerings, emceed by Brent Lane of Cat Country 98.7, ranged from vacation packages — including a five-night stay in Tuscany, Italy, with a personal chef — to sports memorabilia such as a signed Tampa Bay Buccaneers football, as well as personalized gift baskets and handmade items like quilts.

“All of this is not just a runway or trying to raise money, but it’s all just being part of the community and just helping everyone have a better place to be,” said guest speaker and Rally Kid Nohea Glenn, who is being treated for blood cancer.

By the end of the evening, attendees celebrated a fundraising total of $729,290 in support of childhood cancer research.

“Each year, our community comes together to support kids and families facing childhood cancer, and every dollar raised brings us closer to better treatments and brighter futures,” said Jessica Siderio, development manager for Rally Gulf Coast.
