On a sunny and spring-like Saturday afternoon, hundreds of food and wine enthusiasts gathered at Blue Wahoos Stadium on March 7 for Wine on the Water, overlooking Pensacola Bay. Dressed in their polished yet casual best, guests filled the field for one of the area’s premier springtime events.
Presented by Sandy Sansing Dealerships and Florida Insurance Agency, the event supports Ascension Sacred Heart and the Studer Family Children’s Hospital through their Sacred Heart Foundation. One hundred percent of the proceeds help provide medical care for women experiencing high-risk pregnancies and specialized treatment for children hospitalized in Northwest Florida.
The festival’s main event, the Grand Tasting, gave guests a taste of local culinary excellence, featuring more than 60 tasting tables with everything from local sweet treats and specialty desserts to gourmet pizza and savory bites. Hand-crafted cocktails, craft beer, an array of wines, champagnes, and mocktails kept glasses full while guests mingled across the stadium field.
Beyond culinary offerings, the event delivered entertainment, too. A live band kept the energy going, while photo booths and lawn games like croquet and cornhole added a playful touch. Lounge areas with cushioned couches offered a seat to unwind, while a spacious biergarten and cocktail tables encouraged guests to mix and mingle.
At its heart, Wine on the Water is about community and care. The event blends cuisine, sunshine, and fellowship with a meaningful purpose—supporting life-changing care for mothers, babies, and families throughout the region.
